Dominion Energy Virginia medición neta en Virginia
Most of eastern and central Virginia, including Richmond, Virginia Beach, Norfolk and northern Virginia. The Phase II Utility referred to in the statute, which is why the residential standby charge above 20 kW applies here and not at Appalachian Power.

Request the power purchase agreement in writing before your first net metering year starts, because it cannot be backdated and the surplus is otherwise unpaid. Ask Dominion for the capacity still available under the 6 percent cap, which its own tariff says it must give you on request. Size to your own consumption rather than to the 25 kW statutory limit: the working cap is 150 percent of your last twelve months, and credits above your annual use do not carry forward.
- $7.58 a month
- Cómo se calcula
- Schedule 1 sets the Basic Customer Charge at $7.58 per billing month, and unusually it is the whole floor: the schedule states that "the minimum charge shall be the Basic Customer Charge in II.A.1., above", with no riders stacked on top of it. Distribution is charged at 3.5690¢ per kWh for the first 800 kWh on top of what you use. Nothing is added for having panels at ordinary house sizes, and that is worth stating because Virginia does impose a solar-specific charge higher up: a residential customer-generator “with an aggregate nameplate capacity that exceeds 20 kilowatts of alternating current shall pay to its supplier ... a monthly standby charge”. Twenty kilowatts AC is far above a normal rooftop array, so $7.58 is the whole floor for almost every household — but if you are sizing something unusually large, that threshold is where this figure stops being the answer.

Preguntas sobre la medición neta de Dominion
- ¿Ofrece Dominion medición neta uno por uno?
- Sí. Inside your twelve month net metering year Dominion nets kilowatt hours at the full retail rate and carries any credit forward. Whatever is left at the end is bought at the PJM DOMZONE annual average wholesale price, and only if you requested a power purchase agreement in writing before that year began. Credits accumulate and are applied to the first later month with positive consumption. What is left at year end carries into the next year only up to the amount you actually consumed.
- Retail all year, wholesale at the end of it. Annual, at the PJM DOMZONE day-ahead annual simple average LMP for the most recent calendar year, credited within 30 days of the later of the year end or PJM publishing that figure. You may take a direct payment instead of a bill credit.
- Sign in at dominionenergy.com. Open My Account, then Billing. Open the latest bill and save the PDF. Or screenshot the summary page.
