You get one opportunity to choose the billing month your annualized period starts; if you never choose, it starts when the system is switched on, and switching supplier ends it early. Size to your own use: the Board is studying a successor structure that has not been enacted.
- $4.27 a month
- Cómo se calcula
- Service Classification RS states it in a single line — "Customer Charge: $4.27 per month" — and the sheet notes that customer and distribution charges already include Corporation Business Tax under Rider CBT, with all charges including Sales and Use Tax under Rider SUT. The schedule sets no monthly minimum above it; the $14.00 service charge on the following sheet is a one-off, "applicable for initiating service to a Customer", not a recurring floor. That is a low fixed charge, and in a state with full retail net metering it means very little of a JCP&L bill sits beyond your panels’ reach. The part they do offset is sharply seasonal: distribution runs 2.0182 cents a kilowatt hour on the first 600 in June through September but 7.9810 cents on everything above 600, against a flat 3.3061 cents from October through May, with a 1.7244 cent transmission charge and Basic Generation Service supply on top. A summer household that crosses 600 kilowatt hours pays almost four times as much for the units above the line, and those are exactly the ones a July array removes.
Service Classification RS, Residential Service, BPU No. 14 Electric Part III, Second Revised Sheet No. 3, effective 15 July 2026, Docket ER26030090; customer charge unchanged in the Part III effective 1 September 2026 · verificado el 2026-09-29 · fuente
A month’s surplus is credited against the next bill at the full retail rate and accumulates through a twelve-month annualized period. Whatever is left when it ends is paid at the average PJM locational marginal price for the utility’s zone, a wholesale price. A system may not be larger than what you were supplied over a historical twelve months. Credits accumulate month to month until your annualized period ends.
- Full retail, settled once a year at wholesale. At the end of the annualized period you choose, at the average locational marginal price for the utility’s zone.
- Sign in at firstenergycorp.com. Open My Account, then Billing. Open the latest bill and save the PDF. Or screenshot the summary page.
- You get one opportunity to choose the billing month your annualized period starts; if you never choose, it starts when the system is switched on, and switching supplier ends it early. Size to your own use: the Board is studying a successor structure that has not been enacted.
