This applies only where NPPD bills you directly; a town or co-op that buys NPPD power wholesale sets its own terms. The rider closes to new customers once participating generation reaches 1% of the peak annual demand of NPPD’s retail customers, and NPPD’s board may change it at any time by resolution.

- $26.75 a month, or $28.16 where the 5% gross revenue tax applies
- Cómo se calcula
- This applies only if NPPD bills you directly. NPPD also sells power wholesale to towns and cooperatives across Nebraska, and their customers pay whatever their own town or co-op charges, not this. For NPPD’s own retail customers, the Residential Service Rate Schedule sets “Customer Charge: $26.75 per month”, effective 1 January 2026 under Resolution 25-49, and the minimum is “Customer Charge, subject to applicable Base Rate Adjustment.” That adjustment is not small. Where NPPD owes a 5% Gross Revenue Tax on the distribution system serving you, the whole base rate is divided by 0.95, which takes the customer charge to $28.16; where it carries a lease payment or debt service obligation the divisor is one minus that percentage, and where both apply the two are added together. Which line you fall on depends on the town, so two neighbors either side of a boundary can pay different floors. Energy is 10.04 cents a kilowatt hour from June to September and 7.90 cents from October to May, flat, before the Production Cost Adjustment. At $26.75 the fixed charge is among the higher ones on this site, and with energy that cheap a system needs to displace well over 250 kilowatt hours a month just to match it.

Preguntas sobre la medición neta de NPPD
- ¿Ofrece NPPD medición neta uno por uno?
- Sí. Under the Net Metering Service Rider, a month with net use is billed at your standard rate. A month with net excess generation earns a monetary credit, for a photovoltaic system 9.07 cents a kWh from June to September and 5.06 cents from October to May, against energy at 10.04 and 7.90 cents. The credit is applied against that month’s non-energy charges first. Credit left after that month’s charges carries forward as an offset to future charges.
- Netted monthly; solar surplus at 9.07 or 5.06 cents. At the end of an annualized period, or when you leave the rider, any amount owed to you for accumulated credit is paid out.
- Sign in at nppd.com. Open My Account, then Billing. Open the latest bill and save the PDF. Or screenshot the summary page.
- This applies only where NPPD bills you directly; a town or co-op that buys NPPD power wholesale sets its own terms. The rider closes to new customers once participating generation reaches 1% of the peak annual demand of NPPD’s retail customers, and NPPD’s board may change it at any time by resolution.
